Located just five minutes from Field, British Columbia, Cathedral Mountain Lodge is located within Yoho National Park, a Canadian Rocky Mountain Parks UNESCO World Heritage Site. Yoho was also rated second (behind Norway’s fjords!) by National Geographic Traveler magazine as a truly remarkable and unique destination. This year, Yoho celebrates its 125th birthday and offers amazing wilderness and wildlife, jagged rock faces, towering mountains, waterfalls, amazing hikes and outdoor experiences.
The Lodge
Cathedral Mountain Lodge is located within Yoho National Park, and has a reception area, the Riverside Dining Room and a magnificent Great Room. Activities
Over the May Long Weekend, enjoy the abundance of activities in the area around the Lodge:
- Hike or snowshoe in Yoho or Banff National Parks
- Sightsee in Lake Louise or Banff, soak in the Hot Springs in Banff or Fairmont
- Do some wildlife watching for the many animals migrating to the valleys in the early spring
- Take a Columbia Icefields or Park Cultural tour
- Rest and relaxation!
Bring along
Winter boots and appropriate gear for the outdoors (it may be May, but it will be cold along higher mountain hiking trails) and any activities you’re interested in.
Also bring your appetite! Cathedral Mountain Lodge offers a multi-award-winning kitchen with a culinary team that prides itself on serving only the highest quality regional ingredients. The Riverside Dining Room also features a wine list selected from the best that British Columbia's vintners have to offer, as well as a fine selection of acclaimed international vineyards.

$499 per cabin based on single occupancy for the May Long Weekend May 21st- 23rd.
Note: The lodge must have a guarantee of 15 cabins booked before February 21, 2011 to open the Lodge for this exclusive use, so tell your friends! Come in a group, or book separately.
Directions to Cathedral Mountain Lodge From Calgary, Alberta: Cathedral Mountain Lodge is approximately 200km from Calgary. Leave Calgary via 16th Avenue heading west. This route turns into Highway #1. 5km into BC the highway starts a steep descent; at the bottom make a right hand turn onto Yoho
